Alfred Frank Baldwin, Jr., age 64, of Franklinville died Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at the Randolph Hospice House surrounded by his loving wife, Wendy, and family.
Mr. Baldwin was born in Norfolk, VA on December 31, 1950 to Alfred Frank Baldwin, Sr. and Ann Alexander Baldwin. He was employed as the Director of Research and Development with Precision Fabrics Group in Greensboro. Frank loved the outdoors, summiting Mt. Rainier twice as well as many other kayaking and hiking adventures. Frank also enjoyed participating in dog sports such as Frisbee and Flyball with his Border Collie, Ricky. Frank constantly sought knowledge, picking up many hobbies he loved such as classic cars, gardening, woodworking, traveling, and photography. Frank was an excellent golfer and achieved two holes-in-one and he also broke 80.
He is survived by his wife, Wendy Smith Baldwin; sons, Seth Baldwin and wife Myia of Greensboro, NC, Aaron Baldwin and wife Tori of Atlanta, GA; sister, Robin White and husband Shawn of Norfolk, VA; brothers, Tom Baldwin of Berryville, VA, Bob Baldwin and wife Debbie Gates of Suffolk, VA; and his beloved dogs.
The family will receive friends on Friday, July 24, 2015 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. A service of remembrance and celebration of the life of Frank will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be held at a later date at the Forest Lawn Cemetery in Norfolk, VA.
