Eunice Cole Hancock Gee, age 88, died November 19, 2019 at Transitions LifeCare, Raleigh.
Mrs. Gee was born October 6, 1931 in Asheboro to William and Hattie Cole.
Eunice was a graduate of Kings Business College and had her own accounting and tax business. Eunice was a people person and had a huge heart for volunteering. She was a church greeter at First United Methodist, did talks at "Our Place", was a Guardian Ad Litem, a Salvation Army bell ringer and enjoyed her daily visits to the Asheboro YMCA. Eunice was a coordinator and tour guide for over 20 years and enjoyed seeing all of God's beautiful country. She was a very lively person who would always light up a room. One of her joys in life was being a grandmother to Hannah.
In addition to her parents, Eunice was preceded in death by her husbands, Junior Hancock and Bernice Gee; her brothers, Willie, Earl, Bobby, Warren, Norman and Garland Cole and her sisters, Evelyn Williamson and Rosa Cole.
She is survived by son, Douglas "Doug" Hancock of Cary; daughter, Kecia Serwin and husband Steve of Cary; granddaughter, Hannah Serwin of Cary; sisters, Jean Redding of Salisbury, Opal Ingram and husband Bob of Salisbury, Dorothy King of Asheboro, Agnes Nixon of Asheboro.
The family will receive friends Friday, November 22, 2019 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 23, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Center Cross Baptist Church, 1789 Center Cross Church Rd., Asheboro with Rev. Edward Ramsey of First United Methodist Church of Asheboro officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
