David Howard Staples

David Howard Staples, age 62, of Asheboro died Monday, June 10, 2019 at his home.

Mr. Staples was born June 3, 1957 the son of Jennings Price and Carole Carter Staples. David was employed with Deep River Dye in Randleman. He coached his girls softball and basketball teams and loved being with his family. He loved children and encouraged people to do their best. He will be missed by his family and his dog, Charlie. David was a Duke Blue Devil fan. In addition to his parents, David is preceded in death by his sister, Lisa Staples and brother, Thomas Staples.

He is survived by his wife: Norma Villanueva Staples of the home; daughters: Carol Cook and her husband Gary of Denton, and Crystal Staples of Asheboro; grandchildren: Brianna Davis, Bryson Cook, and Zachary Davis; siblings: Jake Staples of Ramseur, Lucy Sykes of Asheboro, Susan Smith of Edgewater, FL, Jessie Staples of Asheboro, Audrey Staples of Asheboro, Michael Staples of Holden Beach, and Sam Staples of Trinity.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, June 12, 2019 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC. The funeral service will be held Thursday, June 13, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, 600 South Main Street, Randleman with Mike Thompson officiating.
