David Ray Sechrist

David Ray Sechrist, age 54, of Sophia died Sunday, November 20, 2016 at High Point Regional Hospital, High Point. David was born January 4, 1962 at Thomasville, NC the son of Ray and Mattie Sumner Sechrist. David was a native of Thomasville and spent his early life in High Point. He loved restoring Ford tractors, working in his yard and any song by Elvis. He enjoyed watching TV, especially the Moonshiners show and Andy Griffith. He loved his many cats and one dog and was a member of the Ayersville Baptist Church. He will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife: Lisa Israel Sechrist; daughter and her husband: Candice and Chris Outlaw of Thomasville, NC; daughter and her boyfriend: Brittany Sechrist and Thomas Jordan of Randleman, NC; father: Ray Sechrist of Sophia and stepson and his wife: Alvin and Shelby Edwards of Candler, NC. The family will receive friends Wednesday, November 23, 2016 from Noon-1:30 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC. The funeral will follow at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Doug Byrd and Rev. Roger Porter officiating.
