Carol Burkhart Brower

Katheryn Carol Burkhart Brower, age 74, of Denver died Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at Levine and Dickson Hospice House. Carol was born in Asheboro, NC on July 10, 1942 to Hobert and Virginia L. Burkhart. She was retired from Bost Neckwear. Mrs. Brower enjoyed bird watching, working in her flowers and listening to gospel music. In addition to her parents, Katheryn was preceded in death by her husband James M. Brower. She enjoyed listening to Gospel music, her great grandchildren, caring for others, and fishing. She is survived by her daughter, Donna B. Kennedy and husband Terry Kennedy of Denver; sons, Jerry Brower and wife Mynette of Asheboro, David Brower and wife Jennifer of Franklinville; grandchildren, Patrick Kennedy and wife Bailee, Cory Kennedy, Ashley B. Ellison and husband Donald, Casey Brower, Justin Brower and wife Jami, Jason Brower and wife Katelyn, Julie Brower; 5 great grandchildren; sister, Martha Wright and husband Raeford of Asheboro. The family will receive friends Friday, September 16, 2016 from 11:45-12:45 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 pm in the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jeff Garner and Pastor Todd Brown officiating. Burial will be in Hoover's Grove Wesleyan Church Cemetery.
