Brenda Batten Sifers

Brenda Batten Sifers, age 68, of Troy died Monday, July 11, 2016 at ManorCare Health Services, Pinehurst. Brenda was born March 14, 1948 in Montgomery County, NC the daughter of Lacy Frank Batten, who precedes her in death and Caroline Spivey Batten. She was a member of Laurel Hill Baptist Church and was employee for approximately 20 years with Capel Rug Mill. She is survived by two daughters: Monica Bruce of the home, Tonya Callicutt and husband Gary of Troy; Grandchildren: Levi, Cody and Hailey McLeod of the home; brothers: Richard Batten and Phillip Batten, both of Troy; mother: Caroline Spivey Batten of Candor; husband: Edward Sifers of Moore County, NC. The family will receive friends Thursday, July 14, 2016 from 6:00 – 7:00 pm at Laurel Hill Baptist Church, 1569 Troy Candor Rd., Candor; A Celebration of Life service will immediately follow at 7:00 pm with Rev.
