Josephine Add Lea Morgan, age 86, of 1529 Plantation Circle, Asheboro died Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at Randolph Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 13, 2010 at 11:00 AM at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Mark J. Key officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery. Add Lea was born in Asheboro on December 17, 1923. She was a graduate of Asheboro High School, Greensboro College, and Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. She served 31 years with the U.S. Air Force retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel. She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Gene Morgan of Charlotte, NC, Lloyd Morgan of Asheboro, NC, Susan Morgan Swiers of Asheboro, NC, Beth Morgan Walker of Raleigh, NC, Phillip Dale Morgan of Thomasville, NC, Nancy Morgan Jessup of Fountain, NC, Barbara Morgan Walters of Fairmont, NC; sister-in-law, Hilda B. Morgan of Asheboro, NC; first cousins, Sarah Lyde Howell of Amory, MS, Frances M. Coleman of Asheboro, NC; and special friend, Faye T. Hagan of Asheboro, NC. The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 13, 2010 from 10:00-11:00 AM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. Memorials may be made to Mt. Shepherd United Methodist Church, 844 Mt. Shepherd Rd., Asheboro, NC 27205.
