Linda Gail "Gay" Taylor Davis

Linda Gail "Gay" Taylor Davis, age 55, of Seagrove died Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at Forsyth Medical Center, Winston- Salem. Linda was born December 11, 1960 in Scotland County, North Carolina, the daughter of Hervey and Bobbie Clubb Taylor. She was a member of the New Birth Church of the Living God and a former shipping supervisor at Longworth Industries. She was a very caring wife, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She cared greatly about her husband and had a strong faith in Jesus Christ. Linda is preceded in death by her father, Hervey Taylor, a daughter, Austin Gail Taylor; grandparents: Pete and Lessie Taylor, Robert and Janie Clubb; uncle, Jessie Clubb, aunt, Peggy Brown and two uncles: Harry and Ernest Taylor; mother and father in-law, Calvin Davis and Corrinna Davis. She is survived by her husband: Kevin Davis of the home; mother: Bobbie Clubb Taylor of Troy; sister: Wendy Gatlin (Mark) of Seagrove; brothers: Hervey Taylor, Jr. (Barbara) of Troy and Petey Craig Taylor (Amber) of Troy; nieces and nephews: Kimberly Dunn, Derek Taylor, Taylor Gatlin, Jordan Taylor, Sarah Gatlin and Adam Taylor. The family will receive friends Thursday, April 14, 2016 from 6-8 pm at New Birth Church of the Living God, 251 Shady Oak Dr., Biscoe; other times at her home and at the home of her brother, Petey and Amber Taylor, 114 Eastway Rd, Troy. The funeral will be Friday, April 15, 2016 at 2:00 pm at New Birth Church of the Living God with Rev. Bucky Davis officiating. Burial will be at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery, Star.
