Laurie Pace Martin

Laurie Pace Martin passed away from this life on December 6, 2017 to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She passed peacefully with her only son and caretaker at her bedside.

Survivors are son, Robert Shawn Martin of the home; nieces, Kathy Layton Key Crawford, Patricia Bender Sloan; nephew, Robert Michael "Mike" Bender.

Laurie was a former employee of First National Bank of Asheboro where she worked for many years. She retired as a loan officer. She was a member for many years at First Presbyterian Church where she sang in the choir. Laurie was preceded in death by her faithful husband Samuel R. Martin.

There will be a brief graveside service on Monday, December 11, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Oaklawn Cemetery conducted by the Rev. Connie Weaver.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to First Presbyterian Church, 420 West Walker Ave., Asheboro, NC 27203 or to the charity of the donor's choice.

Pugh Funeral Home in Asheboro is serving the Martin family.
