William Russell "Bill" Pipes

William Russell "Bill" Pipes, age 76, of Asheboro died Saturday, October 14, 2017 at The Meadows Retirement Center, Rockwell.

Mr. Pipes was born June 2, 1941 the son of Victor D. and Juel Barlow Pipes.

Mr. Pipes was a native of Lenoir, NC and a US Air Force Veteran. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Lenoir and later a member of Calvary United Methodist Church in Asheboro. Bill was a graduate of Guilford College and retired as Human Resources Director with Georgia-Pacific. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Charles E. McLean.

He is survived by his wife: Patricia H. Pipes; son and daughter in law: Clinton Russell "Rusty" and Angela Pipes of Salisbury; daughter: Victoria Ann Pipes of Spruce Pine, NC; one brother and his wife: David and Gina Pipes of Winston- Salem, NC; sister-in-law: Claudia McLean of Taylorsville, NC; niece and her husband: Adele and Don Brown of Chapel Hill, NC; niece and her husband: Angela Mclean and Chris Walling of Pinehurst, NC; nephew: John David Pipes and a host of extended family.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, October 18, 2017 from 10:00 - 10:45 AM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC.

The Memorial Service will follow in the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 AM with Pastor Frank Ramos officiating and Randolph County Honor Guard performing military rites.
