William (Bill) H Johnson

William (Bill) Harrison Johnson, Sr., age 70, of Biscoe died Sunday, October 1, 2017 at FirstHealth Hospice Palliative Care, Pinehurst.

Mr. Johnson was born January 24, 1947 at Troy, NC the son of the late Clifton Harrison and the late Betty Mae (Royal) Johnson.

He was a 1964 graduate of West Montgomery High School and later served in the U.S. Navy from 1964 to 1967 during Vietnam war. He was a retired employee of ADS Textiles, Rockingham, NC as a Dept. Manager.

He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Deborah Bowman Johnson; one daughter: Rhonda Johnson of Aberdeen, NC; one son, Michael (Harriet) Johnson of Biscoe, NC; step-son, Brian G. (Rachel) Bowman of Beaufort, SC; grandchildren, Brittany Johnson, Jack A.(Brittney) McRae, III, Christopher Ryan McRae, Zackary Saavedra, Zhela Shodja; great-grandchildren, Kiley Mae McRae, Garrett Michael McRae, Kristin Alyssa McRae; sister, Hazel Cook, King NC. He was preceded in death by a son, William "Billy" Harrison Johnson, Jr.

Bill was a faithful member of Lomax Memorial Baptist Church serving as Deacon, Choir Leader, and Sunday School Superintendent.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, October 4, 2017 from 6 - 8 PM at Pugh-Troy Funeral Home, 211 North Main Street, Troy, NC. The funeral will be held Thursday, October 5, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Lomax Memorial Baptist Church, Correll Rd., Troy, with Rev. Charles Bryant officiating. Burial will be in Lomax Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery, Troy, with Military Honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard.
