Doris Ann Clifton Cooper

Doris Ann Clifton Cooper, age 77, of Longs, SC passed away Sunday, March 5, 2017 at the home of her daughter in Mt. Gilead, NC. Mrs. Cooper was born May 30, 1939 in Randolph County, NC the daughter of James Clayburn and Edith McKinney Clifton both of whom precede her in death. She worked in the restaurant business prior to her retirement. She loved reading her Bible and Gospel music. She loved spending time with her family and also loved adult coloring books. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband, William Robert Cooper, one great-grandchild, Jordan McDowell and two brothers, Bobby Charles Clifton and Jerry Dean Clifton. She is survived by one daughter: Lisa McDowell of Mt. Gilead; two grandsons: Jonathan Cooper McDowell and Matthew Jordan McDowell; three great-grandchildren: Devin Vest, Alijah McDowell and Easton McDowell; four step-great-grandchildren: Victoria Cassidy, Auldin Hitt, Alyssa Hitt and Aarian Chappell.
