Vira A Goode

Vira Ann Goode departed this earthly life into glory on Sunday, December 4, 2016. Vira, was the daughter of the late Herbert H. Goode and Della Parker Goode. She was born on February 22, 1954 in Mt. Gilead, NC. Vira graduated from West Montgomery High School and attended Montgomery Community College. Vira was a faithful member of Providence Baptist Church, where she served as an usher. Most of her career, she worked in the hosiery industry. She also worked at Family Dollar in Norwood before her health declined. Vira was devoted to God, her family, and her friends. She will be truly missed. Vira was preceded in death by her loving daughter Sherry C. Little, one sister Angela J. Goode, and one brother William C. Mack. She leaves to cherish her memory two sons, Calvin C. Goode (Erica) and Marai C. Goode both of Biscoe, NC; devoted granddaughter Jerica C. Goode and great grandson Ahmad of the home; three brothers, William C. Townsend of Mt Gilead, NC; Herbert S. Goode (Sandra) of Badin, NC; and Whitley H. Goode (Rhoda) of Mt Gilead, NC; four sisters Earlene G. Jones (Bobby) of High Point, NC; Sandra K. Goode of Greensboro, NC; Renee D. Goode Manley of Kinston, NC; and Teresa G. Lilly (Rickey) of Kannapolis, NC; 7 grandchildren; son-in- law Michael C. Little and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, December 10, 2016 at 2:00 PM from the Mt Gilead Elementary School Auditorium, Mt Gilead, NC.
