Donnie Caroll Williams

Donnie Caroll Williams, age 82, of Climax died Thursday, November 17, 2016 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital. Mr. Williams was born June 27, 1934 in Randolph County to Thomas and Cora Jenkins Williams. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and retired from Lorillard Tobacco Company in Greensboro after 36+ years of service. In addition to his parents, Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his brother, Floyd "Mack" Williams. He is survived by his wife, Odette Williams; daughters, Marguerite Williams of Liberty, Molly Hinshaw of Asheboro, Andree Panster of Pleasant Garden; sons, Steven Williams of Trinity, Thomas "Tommy" Williams of the home; multiple grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister, Lucille Long and husband Claude Long of Asheboro. The family will receive friends Tuesday, November 22, 2016 from 6 - 8 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Marty Grainger officiating. Burial with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard will be in Randolph Memorial Park.
