Esther Curry Bennett, age 94, of Randleman died Friday, October 7, 2016 at Clapp's Convalescent Nursing Home, Asheboro.
Mrs. Bennett was born February 10, 1922 the daughter of Charlie and Bertha Curry.
Esther was a native of Wilkes County and retired from Laughlin Hosiery Mill in Randleman. In addition to her parents, Esther is preceded in death by her husband Gilbert Sidney Bennett.
She is survived by her daughter: Ruth Cashwell and her husband Tom of Greensboro; son: Tommy Spillman of Randleman; grandchildren, Stacey Spillman of Randleman and Chad Ferree and his wife Gaye of Thomasville.
Mrs. Bennett will lie in state, Thursday, October 13, 2016 from noon till five at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 S. Main St., Randleman, NC. A graveside service will be held Friday, October 14, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Floral Garden Park Cemetery, 1730 English Rd., High Point with Rev. Kenneth L. Reaves officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, 100 N. Main St., Randleman, NC or charity of choice.
