Vivian Brown Saunders, 47, of Asheboro passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2016, at the Randolph Hospice House from complications of ALS.
Vivian was born in Asheboro, N.C., on November 17, 1968, to the Rev. Joseph Elwood Brown and Lena Davis Brown.
Vivian had a passion for education. She worked as a parent educator for Asheboro City Schools before pursuing a degree in special education from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren and cuddle her rescue dog, Oscar.
Vivian was preceded in death by her mother, Lena Brown, and sister, Libby Wallace. She is survived by her father, Joseph Brown of Asheboro; son, Dustin Saunders of Asheboro; daughters, Meagan (Zach) Rich and Taylor Saunders, both of Asheboro; husband, Christopher Saunders of Asheboro; granddaughters, Chloe and Laynie Rich; brothers, Benny (Sandra) Brown of Seven Lakes and Phillip (Sherry) Brown of Asheboro; and sisters, Sandra (Ronnie) Bescher of Randleman, Annette (Larry) Parks of Troy and Shirley (Donald) Beckham of Asheboro.
The family will receive friends beginning at 12:30 pm before the funeral service on Saturday, September 24, at 2:00 pm at New Center Christian Church, 6448 New Center Church Road, Seagrove, and other times at the home of Meagan Rich, 516 Kelly Circle, Asheboro. Officiating at the service will be Pastor Jonathan Burris. Vivian will be interred in the church cemetery.
