Erma Andrew Richardson, 89, of 2502 S Hwy 119, Mebane died Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at Hospice & Palliative Care Center Of Alamance-Caswell, Burlington.

Mrs. Richardson was born July 31, 1920 the daughter of Albert Harlow and Fannie Alma (Teague) Andrew. Mrs. Richardson was born in Franklin County but was a long time resident of the Silk Hope Community. Erma was a homemaker and had worked as a part time teacher in the local schools. She was a member of Love's Creek Baptist Church where she taught the Adult Ladies Sunday School Class and served in various other positions. Erma was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Richardson.

She is survived by one daughter: Marilyn Cole of Columbia, MD and her husband Don who preceded her in death; one son: Gary Douglas Richardson and wife, Patsy of Orlando, FL; one sister: Malda A. Davis of Siler City, NC, grandchildren, Renee Kissel and husband, Rob of Tallahassee, FL, Suzanna Bedy and husband, Nick of Tampa, FL, Karen Federman and husband, Jeff of Durham, NC, Debra Cole of California; great-grandchildren, Jackson and Kaitlin Federman, Hannah and Thomas Kissel.

The family will receive friends Friday, February 5, 2010 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home, 230 North Second Avenue, Siler City, NC. The funeral will be Saturday, February 6, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Loves Creek Baptist Church, 1745 East 11th Siler City, N C 27344, Siler City with Rev. Bob Boyd officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
