|  Danny Ray Nelson, age 56, of 4645 Plainfield Road, Sophia died Saturday, November 21, 2009 at Randolph Hospital, Asheboro. Born in Randolph County, Danny had previously been employed with Pepsi and with AVS. He is survived by two daughters: Taressa Nelson of Level Cross, NC, Melanie Nelson of Asheboro, NC and one son: Steven Nelson of Asheboro, NC, 5 grandchildren,1 great grandchild, his mother Ina Rich Nelson, three sisters: Rachel Routh of Sophia, NC, Brenda Spencer of Seagrove, NC, Jackie Hodgin of Level Cross, NC and one brother: Larry Newman of Sophia, NC. The funeral will be Tuesday, November 24th at 2:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, 600 South Main Street, Randleman with Rev. C. Michael Stumbo and Pastor Jonathan Shook officiating. Burial will be in South Plainfield Friends Meeting Cemetery, Sophia. The family will receive friends Monday, November 23rd from 6 to 8 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC and at other times at the home of his mother, Ina Nelson.  | |||
