 Edith Johnson's Video |  Edith S. Johnson, age 90, of Eastview Dr., Asheboro died Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at Randolph Hospital, Asheboro. A graveside service will be held Saturday, November 21, 2009 at 2:00 pm at Randolph Memorial Park with Dr. Billy Jarrett officiating. Mrs. Johnson was a native of Yadkin County and enjoyed bowling and basketball. She was preceded in death by her parents, Garrell and Fanny Hennings Smitherman and three brothers. Mrs. Johnson's most important interest was her family and being a loving caregiver to her late husband, Weldon C. Johnson. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by sons, Mike Johnson and his wife Cathy of Asheboro, Sparky Johnson and his wife Beth of Asheboro, Ronnie Johnson and his wife Joan of Kernersville; grandchildren, Cynthia Johnson, Elizabeth Johnson, Michael Johnson, Jr., Christy Lance and her husband Josh, Melanie Patella and her husband Anthony, Kelly Hutchinson and her husband Shawn, Mandee Pritchard; 9 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Saturday, November 21, 2009 from 12:30 - 1:30 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Randolph, P.O.
