 Gene's Video |  Elbert Gene Hogan, age 69, of 228 Brooks Lane, Candor died Saturday, October 24, 2009 at FirstHealth Montgomery Memorial Hospital, Troy. Gene was a lifelong resident of Montgomery County and owner/operator of Aluminum & Vinyl Specialties of Troy. He attended Southside Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife: Elizabeth Marie Epps Hogan, one daughter: Carmen Hogan of Apex, NC and two sons: Ricky Hogan and Kevin Hogan both of Troy, NC; 4 grandchildren; two sisters: Margaret King of Seagrove, NC, Elizabeth Williamson of Asheboro, NC and four brothers: Frank Abernathy of Garner, NC, Larry Hogan of West End, NC, Jimmie Hogan of Biscoe, NC, Sammy Hogan of Germanton, NC. The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 27, 2009 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Pugh-Troy Funeral Home, 211 North Main Street, Troy, NC. The Graveside Service will be Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at 2:00 PM at the McRae Family Cemetery, Pee Dee Road, Mt. Gilead with Pastor Michael Lynn and Pastor Brad Lynch officiating.
