Aweilda Hogan Little Williams, 66, of Asheboro made her grand ascent on November 28, 2013 from the comfort of the Randolph Hospice House.

Mrs. Williams was born on July 4, 1947; A "fire cracker" from the start; the daughter of Voyd and Martha Alene Hopkins Hogan. And, was reared in the tight-knit community of New Hope in SW Randolph County.

Aweilda served her family and the greater community through the Holy Spirit's guidance her whole life.

She sold real estate in the Asheboro area for 30 years and 3 days; and was known for her accurately descriptive slogan, "Where there's Aweilda, there's a way." She had an opinion about everything, and was always eager to share her point of view.

Aweilda enjoyed studying and teaching the Word of God; traveling with her husband to Native American Artifacts shows; accompanying her children's families on vacations; and, simply relaxing on her front porch in the picturesque Uwharrie Mountains.

Aweilda was preceded in death by her father; her husband of 24 years, Larry Little, Sr.; and, "second mother," Aunt Bryte Hopkins.

She is survived by husband of 23 years, Warner B. Williams, of the home; mother Martha Alene Hayes, of Lexington; daughters Amy Little of Farmer; and, Lori Ann Little Owen and husband, Ben, of Seagrove; son, Larry Little, Jr. and wife Stephanie, of Farmer; sister Melody Meachum and husband Mark of Lexington; and brother Jeron Hogan and wife Holly of Wilmington.
Aweilda's grandchildren include Will Ward; Avery, Juliana, and Ivey Owen; and Mason, Grant and Reagan Little; Special grandchild, Gracie Hensley; and a great-grandchild due in March.
She is also survived by step daughter, Sonya Moon; and step grandson, William C. Moon III; along with many nieces, nephews and close brothers and sisters-in-law.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 30, 2013 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro.

Funeral service will held on Sunday, December 1, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Central United Methodist Church, 300 S. Main St., Asheboro, with pastors Rev. Dr. Terry Matthews and nephew Stephen Nance officiating. Burial will follow at High Pine Wesleyan Church, on High Pine Church Road in the SW Randolph area.
