William Lewis Mollman, age 86, of 535 Hoover St., Asheboro died Monday, January 24, 2005 at Randolph Hospital, Asheboro.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 27, 2005 at 2:00 PM at First United Methodist Church, 224 North Fayetteville Street, Asheboro with Rev. Michael Holder and Rev. George Roberson officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery, Asheboro with Masonic rites.

Mr. Mollman was a native of Piqua, Ohio and was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII. He was formerly employed with Bossong Hosiery Mill for 20 years, and retired as Assistant Manager with Food Line (Lowe´s Foods) and Harris-Hayes IGA. He was a member of First United Methodist Church for 68 years and was a mason, a member of Balfour Lodge #188.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Ruth Bruton Mollman; son, William H. “Bill” Mollman and his wife Wilma of Asheboro, NC; daughter, Rebecca M. Everette and her husband Mike of Raleigh, NC; daughter, Terri M. Blackwell and her husband John of Burlington, NC; grandchildren, LuAnne M. Smith of Asheboro, NC, Serena E. Evans of Durham, NC, Sarah A. Everette of Raleigh, NC, J. Daniel Blackwell of Burlington, NC and Katie Blackwell of Burlington, NC; great granddaughter, Amanda K. Smith of Asheboro, NC; brothers, James Garland of Raleigh, NC, Tom Garland of Darlington, SC, Gordon Mollman and Walter Mollman both of Cedar Rapids, IA, Melvin Mollman of Summersfield, FL, Richard Mollman of Davisonville, MD, Jim Mollman of Stevensville, MD, Stephen Mollman of Westville, IN; sisters, Eileen M. Bell of Marietta, GA, and Vickie M. Newberry of Gambrills, MD.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 26, 2005 from 7 - 9 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC.
